Convention promotes tourism in Santa Ana parish


With the aim of creating a tourism development project in Santa Ana, Cuenca Canton, the Autonomous Government Decentralized this parish signed an interagency agreement with the Provincial Chamber of Tourism of Azuay.


The event was held in San Juan hotel, with the participation of Patrick Miller Chairman of the Tourism House and Wilson Quille, chairman of the parish of Santa Ana GAD.
One of the objectives of the agreement is to place the parish as a tourist destination in the province to boost its development with the revival of the local economy.

Part of the commitments made by the Chamber of Tourism is carried out in three months, a study to determine the main tourist resources of the parish, promote them, include the location as a destination in tours that are organized.
Besides training workshops it will be given to service providers in the areas of hospitality, food handling and food safety.

During the signing ceremony the chairman of the parish GAD said that the 21 communities of Santa Ana will benefit from community tourism and highlighted several of the most important attractions that have, as the Yurakcocha complex which is built the Tourist House Gastronómica, also mentioned the walks along nature trails and horseback riding.
