Members of the Municipal Police yesterday morning captured two suspected criminals who had assaulted a passerby on Avenue of the Americas and Carlos Arízaga, Free Fair sector.
Santiago Mejia, Citizen Guard inspector, reported that the alleged criminals had attacked with a knife on his victim, causing a wound in his hand to steal their belongings.
The offense was seen by local police who met rounds of patrolling the area, who in a quick action managed to capture the suspects when scurrying among people.
The suspects were handed over to the National Police for the corresponding legal procedures. The victim said denounce the prosecution, to be punished as they deserve and do not return soon to the streets to continue committing crimes. (ASQ) (I)
